how much to prime a ford mondeo diesel engine?

i changed my fuel filter about a week ago and i didnt fill the new one with diesel and i started the engine and the car cut out.i have not had time or money to bring the car to get fixed.the car was running fine before this so its just no diesel getting

there should be a bleeder valve on the fuel rail, just open it with the key on untill you get a steady stream of fuel, if nothing, check the fuel pump, if could have burned up...
