The other day my car overheated, found out radiator is leaking and was out of fluid. all I had was a gallon of brake fluid, so I dumped it in and went along. It still seems to be working ok, but will it hurt anything? Should I drain my radiator and
Well, brake fluid will not harm the system, because it also has anti rust properties in it, but it will not cool the engine as well as a 50/50 mix of distilled water and antifreeze. You will eventually overheat again.
